Buying More Drums For SYT
Fund raising to buy drums for SYT has been a focus during October and November 2022. Two very successful music recitals were held to do this. Karen Grimmer, Kenneth Abrahams and leaders from the SYT performed on 6th Nov at Sihlalo.
The CT concert raised enough money to buy 5 jemba drums for the children. Here is Kuda with three of them.
The children performed with the new drums a week later, with great enthusiasm!
Karen performed two weeks later in Adelaide, Australia to an appreciative audience at the Bapea Gallery (http://www.bapea.com.au/art-gallery/) . This concert raised enough money to purchase a set of African Dunum drums. These will be available for the children to learn on the week before Christmas.
